Over the past two months, our Mid-week Wednesday webinar series has become more than just another webinar, it’s a lifeline of knowledge, confidence, and opportunity for our Achievers. We began the series with an inspiring session by
Funani Mabala from
NWU. He shared practical guidance on bursaries, AP scores, and the realities of student life, helping our Achievers take their first confident steps toward university.
Next, career expert
Belinda Janeke led a game-changing masterclass on crafting powerful CVs, creating video résumés with AI, building LinkedIn profiles that stand out, and acing interviews. She also introduced valuable campus career services, giving our Achievers practical tools to own their career paths.
Then,
Londeka Mkhize from
Durnacol Skills Hub explored the rising demand for STEM and artisan careers, empowering students with options they never knew existed and giving them tools to navigate the evolving job market.
Finally,
Malia Maranyane from the
UFS Student Recruitment Team guided our Achievers through the university application process, covering admission requirements, AP scores, deadlines, and the vibrant student life at the University of the Free State, including residence life and KovsieSport.
And we’re not stopping here.
Upcoming sessions will focus on
nutrition on a student budget,
mental health, and a
Women’s Month tribute to inspire young women.
These webinars are helping students make informed decisions, build real-world skills, and embrace a future that once felt out of reach.
If you’re passionate about empowering the next generation and have insights to share, whether from the world of academics, business, wellness, or beyond, we invite you to join us as a speaker in our upcoming sessions.
