Every new academic year brings both hope and uncertainty for young South Africans with big dreams. The desire to pursue a university education burns bright — but for many, the question remains: Will I be able to afford it? This uncertainty is a shared experience, cutting across institutions, degrees, and provinces. It’s a reminder of how crucial bursaries are in enabling access to education. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, that question is being answered with a resounding “yes” for 21 students who have already been supported through our Achievers Programme during the first quarter of 2025. Our bursary recipients — who we proudly call our Siyandisa Achievers, and form part of our Achievers Programme — are enrolled in fields like Accounting, Law, Engineering, and Medicine. They are making their mark at top institutions such as the University of Cape Town, University of the Witwatersrand, Boston City Campus, and the University of the Free State.
For many of these students, a bursary isn’t just financial assistance — it’s the fuel that keeps the dream alive. It relieves families, motivates students, and affirms their place in a society that believes in their potential. To our donors and corporate partners: we see you, we thank you, and we celebrate you. Your investment is rewriting stories and changing lives — one student at a time. From all of us at Siyandisa, and from every student whose life you've touched: Thank you for setting 21 young dreams in motion. Together, we can keep this momentum going and keep putting more dreams into motion.
